Ant-mimicking spider
Title: Ant-mimicking spider Location: Banteay Samre, Siem Reap, Cambodia Description: Kerengga Ant-like Jumper [Myrmarachne plataleoides], mimics the Red weaver ant [Oecophylla smaragdina] to gain protection from predators. The male has a much longer "snout" and actually resemble a larger ant carrying a smaller. It's also interesting to notice the black fake eyes, the real eyes are more greenish in color.
